THOUSANDS OF ROSES exhibition (2022)

The mosaics from the THOUSANDS OF ROSES exhibition incite us to reflect on the thousands of elderly persons who died during the pandemic. They evoke souvenirs, precious moments and cherished objects that might have touched the elderly's mind before dying. The mosaics also suggest notions of memory and identity. When a person dies, she brings with her all of her souvenirs which are also our souvenirs. Consequently, their death takes away a part of our identity.
